(Los Angeles: Ward Ritchie for Mrs. Edward Laurence Doheny. 1934. 8vo.  40pp. on fine deckle edge paper.  Title within an elaborate floral border.  One marginal illustration and 2 full-page illustrations from the manuscript made byWilliam Morris.  Edition limited to 150 copies (ours in #122) signed by Estelle Doheny, Anna Cox Britton and Ward Ritchie.  A fine copy in white parchment-like spine over 
cream boards.  Orig. slipcase.  With the printed slip "With the compliments of Mrs. Edward Laurence Doheny" tipped in.

     Morris was a very skilled calligrapher.  Circa 1875 he produced 2 Latin 
     manuscripts.  This essay concerns one of them, his modern manuscript 
     of Virgil's AENEID.  Without any doubt, one of Ward Ritchie's finest books.
