Latine into English by Henry Bull.  Lodnon: Richard Field. 1615.Sm. 4to.  (10),90,93-318,(2)pp., as published.  Large woodcut device on title.  Very attractively bound copy in modern full red morocco
gilt tooled with panels and geometrical lines, each cover with a central gilt ornament.  Spine with 5 raised bands, compartmentsheavily gilt.  A very nice faux binding with an excellent period appearance.  1 leaf, I6 (pp.131-132) with a small torn corner, at the top outermargin; there is a loss of a few letters of the printed marginal note.  $1,000
    The introduction is by John Foxe.  There are 2 variants of the 1577 first English translation followed by this 1615 printing, the 
    second edition.  STC 16976.
