Bayntun Riviere for Charles Lauriat in full light green polished calf 
leather with Mole, Toad, and Rat in gilt on the front cover; gilt rules 
and dentelles; gilt-decorated spine with contrasting gilt-lettered 
morocco spine labels; all edges gilt; marbled endpapers. Illustrated 
with 12 full-page color plates by Arthur Rackham, the only one of 
Rackham's major works to be first published posthumously. Owner 
Christmas inscription from 1964 on the front blank. Fine and beautifully 
bound.
This is the first enduring popular work of fiction to introduce the
