Finely bound in early 19th. century straight grained green morocco, spine ornately gilt stamped.A.E.G.  This copy from the library of British classical scholar Richard Porson (1759-1808), a gift to 
him from English physician Robert Glynn, a close friend of Christopher Antsey, with Glynn's autograph on 
the title page. A preliminary blank is filled with notes in Porson's hand (36 lines); the notes compare 
the first edition to the fourteenth edition of 1791.  There is 1 other annotation in the text.  Pencilnotations on the front endpapers suggest this copy later passed into the hands of English poetSamuel Rogers.  The bookplate of another owner, Lawrence Currie of Minley appears of the 
front pastedown.
