22-1/3") in old 3/4 red morocco leather and marbled boards, all edges 
gilt. Text booklet (printed in Leipzig, 1919) with information on 
authors and plates tipped to blank sheet at front. Complete with 27 
gold-enhanced chromolithographic plates, including color title page. 
Major work on medieval Jewish manuscript art and important source for 
the earliest illustrated Hebrew Bible from the East and the collection 
of Hebrew manuscripts in the Academy of Science Library in Leningrad. 
Contents clean with no markings. Binding worn with some loss of leather 
on spine and library call number at foot of spine but no library
