Johann Strauss Sr. German Cabinet Portrait Photo from Vienna

Published by Kunsthandlung Czihak in Vienna, based on a lithograph  
portrait by Josef Kriehuber.

“Johann Baptist Strauss I (1804-1849), also known as Johann Strauss  
Sr., the Elder or the Father, was an Austrian composer of the Romantic  
Period. He was famous for his light music, namely waltzes, polkas, and  
galops, which he popularized alongside Joseph Lanner, thereby setting  
the foundations for his sons—Johann, Josef and Eduard—to carry on his  
musical dynasty” [Wikipedia].

Cabinet photo. 4.5x6.75. Minor soil, corner bump, mounting spot on the  
back along with a “Property of” inscription in ink and a pencil note.

We accept returns if we are notified within ten days of your receipt -please
ask for full instructions and terms. Massachusetts residents must add
6.25% state sales tax.
