Death of King Edward VII Illustrated London News Special Number May 14, 1910.
A pictorial journey through the late King’s life, death, and his
nation’s mourning, as well as the new King, George V. The top call-out
mentions “Two supplements”, but since the pages are not numbered and
there is no table of contents it’s hard to say what that means- if
they were bound separately they are not here now. This issue contains
illustrations, followed by an advertising section (all the
advertisements were put at the back, and the tributes to the King have
no ads, a tasteful accommodation of respect to the Monarch vs. the
commercial needs of the publisher.
Paper covers. 11.75x16.5, unnumbered 57 pages, black & white
illustrations. Some wear and soil, scattered page edge damage, corner
creases, and so on as would be expected. $35, plus $3 shipping.
