XX siecle; Volume III: Tissus de l'Orient, de l'Italie et de l'Espagne. 
Text in French and Japanese. With numerous illustrations, many in full 
color. An important and comprehensive work on textiles and fabrics. Fine 
in Near Fine clear dustwrappers and slipcases.

The Musée historique des tissus in Lyon was founded in 1890. It was 
perhaps The Great Exhibition of 1851 in London that inspired the Lyon 
industrialists to create a historical museum with textiles from 
different parts of the world. The collection contains an important
