Harper & Brothers, 1903. First Edition. Five volumes in publisher's 
bright red cloth with gilt rules and lettering on the front covers and 
spines; illustrated with many plates and engravings. An early printing 
of the First Trade Edition. This set is SIGNED by the author on the 
front endpaper of the first volume and dated "Princeton 10 Mar. 1910," 
towards the end of his presidency of Princeton University. He would go 
on to serve a term as governor of New Jersey before serving two terms as 
president of the United States from 1913 to 1921. Mild sunning to
