Two large octavo (7" x 10-1/4") volumes bound in gilt-decorated and 
lettered black cloth. Copy #1989 of 2000 SIGNED by the publishers. 
Translated by John Payne with many full-page illustrations by Clara 
Tice, a number of them mildly erotic. The plates for the illustrations 
were destroyed after printing. Tasteful bookplate on front pastedown of 
first volume and front endpaper of second. Contents very fresh and 
largely unopened; covers bright and clean. A Fine set. (#021598)        $150
