CARTER, JIMMY. FAREWELL ADDRESS OF PRESIDENT JIMMY CARTER. JANUARY 14,
1981. [Winston-Salem, NC]: Palaemon Press Limited (December 1981).
First Edition. Bound in full blue cloth with gilt lettering on the
spine. Prints Carter's 9-page farewell address on heavy paper. Copy
#105 of only 300 printed and SIGNED by the former President as "Jimmy
Carter" on the title page. Half of the edition was reserved for
Carter; the other half was issued for sale by the publisher. Quite
possibly the most difficult Carter title to find and a poorly made
book. Of the half dozen copies we have examined over the years, all
were loosely stitched in their casings causing the text block to slide
up and down. This copy is no different. In addition at the bottom
outside corner of the rear cover is a small hole, @1/8" x 1/4", caused
by insect damage. We have seen a copy with a slipcase which this does
not have. Still a most collectible copy of a difficult book. Very Good
and quite uncommon. $750
