Huxley, Aldous.   Prisons. With the "Carceri" etchings by G. B. Piranesi. 
Critical study by Jean Adhemar.  Los Angeles, Zeitlin & Ver Brugge [c1949]. 
Original pale blue-gray wrappers with a printed paper label on the front 
wrapper. Ownership signature of Agnes Mongan on the front endpaper. Lightly 
bumped at the foot of the backstrip and corners, otherwise fine in 
publisher's quarter cloth and paper boards portfolio. The portfolio is 
rebacked, its corners are bumped and repaired, and. the label and boards 
darkened. Of 212 copies, one of 100 numbered copies for Zeitlin & Ver 
Brugge, signed by Aldous Huxley. Designed by Arnold Fawcus. [36] pp, 
followed by 17 unnumbered plates (in this copy two of the plates are 
numbered 16, though they differ).  $300.

Mayor, A. Hyatt.   Giovanni Battista Piranesi.  New York, H. Bittner and 
Company, Publishers, 1952. Original cloth. Corners bumped, otherwise fine 
in lightly soiled dust jacket with several closed tears. 41 pp., followed 
by 135 reproductions on 129 plates. The author was curator of prints at the 
Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.  $50.

Columbia University.   Giovanni Battista Piranesi: drawings and etchings at 
Columbia University.  New York, Avery Architectural Library, Department of 
Art History and Archaeology, Columbia University [c1972]. Original printed 
wrappers. Pencilled ownership signature of Agnes Mongan on the front free 
endpaper. Rear wrapper lightly soiled, otherwise near fine. 134 pp. Preface 
by Adolf K. Placzek. Introduction to the exhibition by Dorothea Nyberg. 
Separately numbered entries for the drawings (25) and the etchings (97). 
Illustrated. Errata sheet laid in.  $35.

National Gallery of Art, 1978. Original printed wrappers. Very fine. 76 pp.
