BALTIMORE: A PICTORIAL HISTORY.
[Baltimore]: (Johns Hopkins Press), (1953). First printing, Full cloth,
Quarto, xx, 149 pages, Black & white photographs, plans, prints. Very good
in a good dust jacket, Jacket in Mylar protector.
      SIGNED by both authors on preliminary blank leaf. Nicely produced book
telling the story of Baltimore's rich architectural heritage and the
continuity of its changing tastes through the first decade of the 20th
century. Well illustrated with over 100 prints, drawings, paintings, and
photographs. Bound in off white cloth over boards with dark brown spine
lettering, endpaper maps. Two short tears to fore edges of first three
leaves, slight dampness ripple (but no staining) across lower third of first
few leaves, mild browning to spine. Jacket has edge chips and tears up to
3/4" in depth, a 1" edge tear at lower fore corner of front panel, a 1/4"
hole in front panel, some soil to rear panel, some dampstaining on reverse
and top edge of rear panel, and some edge rubs along joint folds. Overall
still a handsome and pleasing copy.    $75.00
