ON THE FUTURE OF AVIATION. New York: G. P. Putnam's & Sons
1927. First Edition. Parchment-backed, gilt-lettered boards
in original blue box with number matching the limitation
number. The special Autograph Edition, issued some weeks
after the Popular Edition but printed from type not
previously used (the popular edition being printed from
electrotypes taken from that type) and with illustrations
from plates used for the first time. Lindbergh's own account
of his Transatlantic flight, this being copy #772 of 1000
copies SIGNED by both the author and the publisher. Laid in
is the one-sheet "Publishers Note" and an eight-page
pamphlet containing tributes by Oliver Herford, Grantland
Rice, and others. Splits at corners of box which is
otherwise in very nice shape. Fine, bright copy in Very Good
original box. $3000.00
