printed paper wrappers. 36pp. Very good with some edge wear.  Discreet 
Temple University stamp on inside front wrapper, and a five digit 
acquisition number at top of front wrapper. Howes B-991; Sabin 9329; 
Not in Jenkin’s Full Howes, Miles, Decker, Monaghan, or Eberstadt,  
This is the first issue of this campaign magazine/polemic issued, a 
second issue followed in July 1860.  It outlines “the principles and 
aims of the Republican Party, the issues involved with its contest with 
Slave Power, and its Democratic allies” and much more. Inside front 
wrapper is the ad for the Pocket Pistol. Inside rear wrapper is an ad 
for The Republican Campaign Songster.  Rear wrapper displays an ad for 
Bartlett’s Life and Services of Abraham Lincoln.   $400.00
