several figures per plate. Contmporary leather (restored) with 5 
raise bands. *Wellcome Catalogue III, p.366, described as having ten 
preliminary leaves. T. This work is one of the earliest to be devoted 
to trees and is divided into ten books each dealing with a class of 
tree - fruit-bearing, nut-bearing, aromatic, acorn-bearing, resinous, 
conifers, pod-bearing, roses and flowering trees, two miscellaneous 
classes. He includes heaths, succulents and cacti.  The engraved 
plates are by Caspar and Mathaeus Merian.
