Society for International Cultural Relations], 1940. 22 full color
reproductions tipped in on loose sheets in half-leather portfolio.  Leather
torn along length of spine.  Owner's name on title page.  Some darkening and
edgewear to sheets.  Illustrations very good.  Works by  children age 6 to

2.  Madden, Maude (trans.). Golden Chopsticks And other Japanese children's
songs. Sendai, Japan: Manjiro Takeda, nd (early 20C.). Wraps, bound with
yarn.  30 pages, some 30 songs.  Each with musical notation of tune,
Japanese text, English translation and color illustrations.  Binding yarn is
broken, pages loose. Covers stained.  Illustrations still bright and clear.

Japan House Of Art , 1968. Cover stained, 2-inch piece torn from spine.

patterned cloth, bound with yarn.  Oblong.  Cover stained, sunned.  Colored
photos with captions of scenes from school life in Japan. Hardbound. Good.

5.  Tamamura. Japanese Views and Characters Vol 1 (Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Kobe
and Nagasaki). nd (1900?). Collotyped and hand-painted in Japan.
Illustrated cloth boards (Mt. Fuji), tied with yarn.  Boards spotted.
Colored photos with captions. Interior tight and clean.  Scenes of
waterfalls, geishas, temples, etc. Hardbound. Very good.  (10765) $340.00

6.  Tamamura. Japanese Views and Characters Vol II (Yokohama, Kamakura, Fuji
and Nagoya). nd (1900?). Collotyped and hand-painted in Japan.  Illustrated
cloth boards  tied with yarn.  Boards slightly spotted.  Foxing to edges of
inside covers. Colored photos with captions. Interior tight and clean.
Scenes of wrestling, Mt. Fuji, castles, tea picking, geishas, temples, etc.
