We have just added a bonus January Catalogue to our website featuring
100 books, almost all Modern First Edition Fiction, Biography, and
Nonfiction, and all priced at $50 or less, mostly a lot less. No great
rarities here (see our other sections for those) but plenty of good
books in great condition. http://www.erols.com/agvent
We remind you also to visit our regular section of New Arrivals for
January.
It features about a dozen emblem books, nearly all from the 16th and
17th centuries, and some quite scarce. Also featured are some rare
First Editions by Wallace Stevens and Walt Whitman, including signed
books, a long run of signed Jimmy Carter books, as well as our usual
assortment of the uncommon and the rare, such as a 16th century
well-illustrated book on fortune-telling (Cocles), a Thornton Wilder
Prize Winning book inscribed to Aaron Copland, a touching Rockwell
Kent Christmas letter to his daughter, a Will Rogers title with a
great inscription by him, First Editions of Charlotte's Web and Stuart
Little, a fine First Edition of Cormac McCarthy's first book inscribed
by him, the First Edition in English of Pascal's Pensees (1688),
Graham Greene's scarce first Limited Edition, and much more.
