Binns, R.W. CATALOGUE OF A COLLECTION OF WORCESTER PORCELAIN, AND NOTES ON
JAPANESE SPECIMENS, IN THE MUSEUM AT THE ROYAL PORCELAIN WORKS.

Worcester Royal Porcelain Co. Ltd.: 1884.

The second edition of this catalog, first issued in 1882, with 5
additional pages describing Japanese ceramics which were not in the first
edition. The profusion of engraved illustrations are of very fine quality
and detail.

  "The museum, entirely composed of specimens
   of Worcester porcelain, contains also some
   of the old moulds and models, and other relics
   of the early manufacture. Its formation was
   chiefly due to the untiring care of R.W. Binns.
   It comprises 1900 nos., and the catalogue, of
   great importance for the study of the ware,
   is illustrated with reproductions grouped
   together chronologically." (Solon).

Hardcover. 6"x9", 190 pages, numerous engraved illustrations. Bound into
modern boards with a cloth spine, lettering rubbed off of the spine;
boards and spine with some wear and soil; a utilitarian binding and
nothing more; endpapers soiled and chipped, stamp on endpaper, minor
internal soil, a few small page chips, etc. [04713] $150.00
