[Davies Collection] THE ARTHUR B. DAVIES ART COLLECTION.

New York; American Art Association: April 16-17th, 1929.

The art collection of this important artist and designer. Although Davies'
own works have slipped in popularity in the decades since his death, his
importance to the development of American modern art cannot be
understated. A member of The Eight, his legacy includes both the Armory
Show and the Museum of Modern Art. His personal art collection was
eclectic- ranging from modern drawings, paintings, prints and sculptures
to ancient pottery, bronzes, and rare fabrics, and French furniture and
tapestries. Softcover; 6.5"x9.5", 101+ pages, 450 lots, b/w illustrations;
some wear and soil; top of spine chipped. [04114] $100.00
