Mastro Angiolo Gargiulo..(dedicated to the Noble Sig. Conte Antonio ? -- 
last name inked over). Complete and in fine condition, oblong folio, 22.5 
by 29cm., (4), 110. Engraved title page depicting a gathering within a 
salon of Ladies, Gentlemen, and Musicians, all dressed in early 
Empire/French Revolution period gowns and hats. Hand written title within a 
cartouche,  One hundred and eight pages of manuscript music.  Scoring for 5 
instruments and 4 voices plus lyrics. Each page has ten woodblock 5 stave 
lines in red. Notation in the French manner. Bound in three-quarters 
leather with woodblock patterned paper covered boards--stylized brown and 
green flowers

A previous unrecorded Catholic Mass, circa 1795-1805 based on the music 
style and engraved title page. No listings for composer or work in major 
US, UK, or Italian libraries. Scans available. $15,000
