   Shoe left, shoe right,
   first shoe I see tonite,
wish I may, wish I might,
decide which pair to wear tonite...

DOCKHAM'S SHOE AND LEATHER REPORT AND DIRECTORY OF THE UNITED STATES AND
CANADA. 1883.

Boston; C.A. Dockham & Co.: 1883. 7th edition.

A great resource for information about the Victorian boot, shoe and
leather industry in the United States and Canada with listings, by state,
of boot & shoe manufacturers, and tanners & curriers, and listings
nationwide of leather dealers, boot & show dealers, and boot & shoe
findings. As usual with this sort of directory, the many advertisements
are as interesting and informative as the listings. Hardcover. 8"x10.5",
255 page, plus advertisements at the front and rear; many b/w
illustrations in advertisements. Somewhat worn, as usual with this sort of
trade directory; front and rear hinges partially cracked internally and
loose; some soil, but overall not a bad copy. [05094] $275.00
