Greetings All,

For your consideration:
~
(No. 7178 ) Stewart, Charles W. (compiled under the direction of the Joint
Committee on Printing). JOHN PAUL JONES: COMMEMORATION AT ANNAPOLIS, APRIL
24, 1906.
Washington: Government Printing Office, 1907. First printing, Full cloth,
Quarto, 210 pages, Black and white tissue-guarded plates. Very Good.
Detailed account of the discovery, identification, and transfer to
Annapolis of the body of John Paul Jones, along with the transcripts of
addresses by Theodore Roosevelt and other dignitaries on the occasion of the
commemoration at the U. S. Naval Academy in Annapolis. This copy has two
important pieces of ephemera laid in--an original invitation to the
commemoration and an original program from the ceremonies. Well illustrated.
Bound in dark blue cloth over boards with gilt-stamped spine and upper
board, top edge gilt, decorative endpapers. Prior owner name penned on
preliminary blank page, various bumps to board edges and a few light rubs.
Hinges are tight and the interior is clean a bright. Excellent copy.
