Complete and in fine condition, folio, (34), CLXVII numbered leaves (i.e. 
CLXXI). Title page in red and black within a wide historiated woodcut 
border dated 1552 depicting various Biblical events associated with 
Genesis. Bound with

In Genesis Enarrationum..Tomus Secundus... Norimbergae, Vlricum, 1552. 
Complete and in fine condition, folio, (6), CCLVI numbered leaves, (9). 
Title page in red and black with woodcut illustration. Both volumes very 
crisp condition with full margins and occasional neat handwritten marginal 
notations and previous owner's neat inscription dated 1559 on the last leaf 
of the first volume.

Bound in later full calf covered boards.

A very rare set of two volumes covering Luther's comments on the first two 
books of Genesis. Two other volumes covering the other parts of Genesis 
were also published in Nuremburg during the 1550-1560 period.
