Sm. 4to. (4),124pp. Unopened. Engraved frontis. designed by Edward Burne-Jones. 
Lettering & floral borders of frontis. and first page of each story, designed 
by William Morris. Marginalia printed in red. Edition limited to 300 copies. 
Orig. limp vellum, lightly soiled, spine stamped in gilt, silk ties. Laid in is 
a 1-page, signed   autograph letter & its stamped envelope, from William 
Morris to publisher John Lane, telling him that he never wrote anything that did 
not bear his name and “the book in question” could not have been written by 
his father who died in 1847.     $3,500.00 (trade discount allowed)
The first Kelmscott Press book with a full-page frontispiece illustration.
