"Some say the world will end in fire,
some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire,
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if I had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice."
             -Robert Frost

We are currently preparing a printed catalog on ICE. We are seeking
books, pamphlets, catalogs, letters, and other materials on the following
subjects (and please note the date cut-offs)-

-history of uses of ice (anything, anytime)

-ice harvesting (pre-1900)

-the dangers of ice (absolutely *anything* pre-1900)

-ice related disasters (pre-1900, and no Polar exploration -see below)

-ice manufacture and production (pre-1900)

-ice & disease (pre-1900)

Thanks!!!

-Frosty Forrest

ps- as the above Frost quote might suggest, this catalog is to be a
dos-a-dos, ice on one side fire on the other, so we also seek any
interesting or unusual books or other material having to do with the use of
fire, fireplaces, candles, lighting, etc.
