[Rarebooks] FS: The Chocolate War, Robert Cormier, Signed

Hello all, please consider:

The Chocolate War, by Robert Cormier, rare signed copy. 1974, Pantheon. First edition in DJ, F/F. Book bound in chocolate color paper, tiny bump at head of spine. A review copy apparently, as there are two shallow paper clip dents at the top of the front free endpaper, through to about page 20. Otherwise clean and bright. Warmly inscribed on the front free endpaper (appears to have been signed in year of publication, though Mr. Cormier apparently had some trouble with his pen, as the top of the 7 and 4 are missing). Jacket also nearly pristine, very tiny wear to top corners and a couple miniscule nicks in top edge.  

Set in New England, this young adult novel is a standard work at many public schools, and made into a film in 1988. Mr. Cormier passed away in November 2000 and signed copies of this, his breakthrough book, are very hard to come by.
