pages. Near Fine in a Very Good, Price Clipped Jacket, Jacket in Mylar
protector.
      Steinbeck's World War II novel of the unconquerable spirit of a brave
people, based on the Nazi invasion of Norway. Second state of the first
edition, with dot dropped from page 112 and printer credited on copyright
page. Bound in dark blue cloth over boards with blind-stamped upper board
and silver foil stamped spine. Tiny edge wrinkle to cloth at heel of spine,
neat prior owner bookplate on front pastedown. Jacket has a touch of
browning to spine lettering, a few rubs, short edge tears and shallow chips
at spine ends, and a closed .5" edge tear at bottom edge of rear panel. A
bright and attractive copy overall.    $75.00
