Frobeniana. 1521. Folio. (24),515,(33)pp. Index. Complete with the final leaf blank 
except for the large woodcut device on the verso (fore-edge blank margin of 
this leaf repaired). Title within an ornate woodcut border, as well as the next 
leaf, both by Holbein. Large woodcut initials. Some sections rubricated. Old 
vellum, rebacked at an early date. The first 4 leaves with slight restoration 
to the bottom margin. Title lightly soiled, otherwise a very fresh clean copy.

The second edition of this fine Froben/Erasmus (editor) edition of the works 
of Saint Cyprian, the 3rd century Bishop of Carthage and one of the most 
illustrious figures in the history of the early Catholic Church. Froben first 
printed an edition in February of 1520, followed by ours in November of 1521, and
