The Military Order of the Carabao was formed in 1900 by servicemen who
served in the Philippines during the Spanish-American War. The name was
taken from the principal beast of burden in the Philippines which performed
many indispensable services in the absence of the Army mule. Includes
several interesting old photographs, rosters of members, history of the
order and its branch "corrals," etc. Brown cloth over boards with dark blue
cloth spine, gilt stamped spine and upper board lettering. Preliminary and
postliminary pages mildly foxed, several light pencil ticks in margins,
bumps and light rubs at extremities, small hole to upper joint. $75.00
