1567-1570. 8vo. 2 volumes bound in 1, the first volume foliated, the second 
paginated. ff.(8),100,(10);(24),410,(20),(411)-432,(58)pp. With all 5 blanks. Text 
in Latin & Greek. Folding table. The first volume with 11 pages of woodcut 
illustrations. The second volume with a 34 page section profusely illustrated 
with woodcuts, some full page. Astronomical tables. Cont. roll-tooled pigskin, 
both covers with a large central medallion. Spine painted gray with inked title &
 private library markings. Old minor dampstain (faded) along the lower 
portions of the pages. Some scattered cont. marginalia. Front free endpaper lacking.

First edition of both works. “Volumen Primum” 1567, and “Volumen II” 1570, 
are considered separate works, often found independently. Adams records them 
as D136 and D137. These are in effect textbooks for mathematics, astronomy, 
etc., which were used by students of Dasypodius (1530-1600) at the University of 
Strasburg. See the Dict. Sci. Biog. Vol. 3, p. 585.
