AMERICA, BEFORE THEM, IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AT WASHINGTON, ON THE 
12TH OF FEBRUARY, 1866.
Washington: Government Printing Office, 1866. First printing, Full cloth, 
Octavo, 69 pages, Frontispiece portrait. Good.
      The text of Bancroft's eulogy followed by an interesting appendix 
which records the funeral exercises in Congress on 12 February 1866. Bound 
in original cloth over boards with gilt-stamped upper board. Tissue-guarded 
frontispiece portrait of Lincoln engraved and printed at the treasury 
department. MONAGHAN #841. A leaflet is tipped in at front endpapers, titled 
"General Orders No. 22." It is the report of the Board appointed by Lincoln 
to examine and correct the quotas of the states under the December 19, 1864 
call for 300,000 additional men. Rubs to extremities, with shallow chips to 
cloth at spine ends and upper joint, a small dark stain near fore edge of 
upper board. Moderately foxed throughout.    $125.00
