of  his  writings edited by Charles Joy. INSCRIBED and SIGNED  on  the
front  free endpaper by Schweitzer to Barnet Nover, a Washington  Post
correspondent:   "A  Barnet  Nover/avec   mes  bonnes   pensees/Albert
Schweitzer/  Aspen  5/7/49." Nover's signature and address  in  pencil
above  the inscription. Schweitzer won the Nobel Peace Prize in  1952.
