CATALOGUE OF THE ARCHITECTURAL EXHIBITION, Boston Architectural Club and
Boston Society of Architects. St. Botolph Club, 2 Newbury Street, from May
22nd to June 3rd, 1899.
Boston; Boston Architectural Club: 1899.
An exhibition of the work of member architects. A prefatory note explains
that for the first time this year they have included not only drawings but
also photographs, and have also allowed not only new designs and buildings
by members, but also older ones. A very instructive overview of
turn-of-the-century architecture. Also, the catalog is chock-full of
advertisements for architecture-related services and products. The first of
these exhibitions was held in 1890. Scarce; no other copies were being
offered on the internet at the time this was catalogued. Hardcover.
7"x9.5", 240 pages, many b/w illustrations; advertisements; very heavy card
covers and linen spine, as issued. A little wear, but a very nice copy.
[06826] $125.00
