(No. 7621 )  Corbett, Julian S[tafford]. (185-1922). ENGLAND IN THE SEVEN
YEARS' WAR: A STUDY IN COMBINED STRATEGY (COMPLETE IN TWO VOLUMES).
London: Longmans, Green and Co., 1918. Second Edition, Full cloth, Octavos,
xii, 476 + viii, 409 pages, Color and black & white maps. Good.
      A fine study of this first true world war, the North American
component of which was the last of the colonial wars between France and
England commonly referred to as the French and Indian Wars. Corbett gives
significant attention to the naval aspects of the conflict. Nicely
illustrated with maps, some of which are colored, some fold-outs. Bound in
dark blue cloth over boards with gilt spine titles. Both volumes appear to
have had a catalogue number removed near base of spine, and both have an
institutional stamp on front pastedown and front free endpaper, but no other
library marks. Some light foxing to endpapers, some occasional and
unobtrusive marginalia in light pencil, rear hinge in volume I and front
hinge in volume II starting. Moderate edge wear to boards.    $100.00
