dealers, boot & show dealers, and boot & shoe findings. As usual with this
sort of directory, the many advertisements are as interesting and

advertisements. Somewhat worn, as usual with this sort of trade directory;
front and rear hinges partially cracked internally and loose; some soil,

which not only illustrates and describes the evolution of fashions from
1066 to 1930, but also provides patterns for the articles of clothing (in
reduced size). Fifty-six men's and women's examples are included, with
information on fabrics, colors, patterns and construction details. The book
was written to be useful to theatrical costumers, but also provides
invaluable information and insight to fashion historians and enthusiasts.

Moore, Doris Langley. THE CHILD IN FASHION.

collections of vintage 19th and 20th century English fashions in private
hands, and she showcased it in several books featuring noted society women
and in this case children, wearing her clothing in vintage-decorated
surroundings. Her models for this book included Vanessa and Lynn Redgrave.

jacket. A little light wear, jacket with a little wear, inscription on

made gold and silver thread for use in embroidery and fine fashions. This
history not only speaks of charters and dinners and Company officers, but
of the history of the trade itself through English history. Hardcover.
8"x10.5", xvi + 140 pages, 3 plates, and many headpieces illustrating
scenes from the history of the Company, as well as decorated initial
letters. Original blue cloth with gilt titles and the arms of the Company
on the cover; light cover soil; contents with some light foxing, a little
soil, etc, hinges shaken. With a nicely penned 1955 birthday inscription to
