cloth stamped in gold and blind, corners and ends of spine rubbed, spine 
faded, 4; (9)-129pp. [sic], old bookseller's stamp on 
flyleaf.  (Widely-ranging imaginary conversations regarding a written code 
of medical ethics.  Dr. Hamilton also published works on fractures and 
dislocations and on military surgery and hygiene, &c.   He was Medical 
Inspector of the U.S.Army during the Civil War, and later edited the 
"Surgical Memoirs" of the War.  He was probably the first to suggest 
skin-grafting. He has 3 entries in Garrison/Morton.)
