Woollcott, Alexander. MRS. FISKE. HER VIEWS ON ACTORS, ACTING, AND THE
PROBLEMS OF PRODUCTION.
New York; The Century Company: 1917.
First edition, first issue, with "Woolcott" on the title page.
The first book by this famous member of the Algonquin Round Table and New
Yorker writer. Also, (apparently incidentally, from a quick look at other's
current descriptions of the book) an interesting book on Minnie Maddern
Fiske, a beautiful, talented and famous actress. That's why I originally
bought it, but what do I know?
Hardcover. 5.25"x7.5", 229 pages, 25 b/w plates; original blue, white and
gold decorated cloth; covers bright and clean, spine with several light
dents which are odd but not displeasing; period bookplate, endpapers
lightly toned. [06614] $50.00
