PATMORE, Coventry. Edmund Gosse's copy. TAMERTON CHURCH-
TOWER AND OTHER POEMS. London: John W. Parker and Son 1854.
First Edition. Original brown cloth, spine with printed
label; this copy with the second title page, the first
having an 1853 Pickering imprint. This copy from the library
of Edmund Gosse with his bookplate on the front pastedown
and a 2-page AUTOGRAPH LETTER SIGNED by Patmore to Gosse
tipped to the front gutter. Patmore discusses the
illumination and binding of a book in the letter, stating
that Zaehnsdorf is expensive. Light cracking to front hinge
but a nice copy. Near Fine $350.00
