Octavo, xii, 258 pages, black & white plates. Fair, No dust jacket.
      This rich, personal account of social and economic conditions in the
Confederacy is peppered with historic photographic portraits and family
letters from prominent people, including General James Longstreet, General
Robert E. Lee, General Joseph E. Johnston, Jefferson Davis, etc. The
author's father was Louis Trezevant Wigfall of Texas. NEVINS, et al CWB, p.
207. Bound in green cloth over boards with gilt-stamped spine, gilt and
silver decoration on upper board, top edge gilt. Lacks front free endpaper.
Minor extremity wear, upper board has a 1 inch square area of light rippling
with some rubbing to cloth. Hinges not cracked. But for lack of front free
endpaper condition would be good to very good.    $75.00
