First edition. Pasquier Quesnel (1634-1719), French Jansenist writer, 
escaped to Brussels after his edition of the works of Pope Leo I was 
placed on the Index and he refused to condemn Jansenism. He was 
arrested three years after the publication of this work. Scarce. OCLC 
and RLIN list only four copies outside of France.

Spine lightly rubbed, later endpapers, institutional stamp to verso 
title page, top edge trimmed. A very good copy.  [26150]  $250.00

U.S. funds on a U.S. bank. New York residents please add appropriate 
sales tax or forward a tax id number. Libraries and Institutions can 
be billed. Trade allowance. Postage for Domestic orders is $6.50 for 
the first book and $2.00 for each additional volume. Books are 
normally shipped USPS Priority Mail. For international orders, 
postage is calculated individually. All books may be returned in 
original condition for any reason within two weeks with prior 
notification.
