SARTON,  May. THE FUR PERSON. New York: Norton (1978).  The  First
Printing  of the reissue of this 1957 book, newly illustrated by David
Canright.  A  special copy INSCRIBED and SIGNED by Sarton in 1979  and
with  one  AUTOGRAPH LETTER SIGNED and two AUTOGRAPH NOTES  SIGNED  by
Sarton  laid in along with two envelopes addressed by Sarton. One note
mentions  she  is going away, and the other is a brief  dedication  to
the  recipient  "and his splendid Fur Person!" The brief letter is  on
the  verso  of  a color photo postcard by Susan  Sherman  titled  "May
Sarton,  Wild  Knoll," showing one of Sarton's cats on a wall. In  the
letter  Sarton writes about being ill and catching up. She goes on  to
discuss  her  cats  and the photo. Fine in about  Fine,  price-clipped
