First London edition of his first book.  Published more or less 
simultaneous with the N. Y. edition - see BAL 14746.  The book consists of 
DeVinne's American sheets with an altered title leaf, which retains the 
DeVinne imprint on the verso.  Later (but not recent) half leather, spine 
printed & decorated in gilt, edges rubbed.  (This must have been a small 
edition; whereas OCLC locates 232 copies of the U.S. edition, only 8 copies 
- several of which are in  Europe  - are listed for the London 
edition.  This edition is clearly lacking in many major collections.)  $300.00
