WE CAN SUPPLY:
CORRIGAN, DOUGLAS. THAT'S MY STORY. WITH 56 GRAVURE ILLUSTRATIONS.
N. Y.: Dutton, 1938. First printing. Original pictorial blue cloth, top
edge yellow, amusing clipping tipped-in describing Corrigan's mishaps on
his way to Philadelphia and his reception there. On the opposing end paper
Corrigan has inscribed the book, "To Daddy, may you soon take your first
flight. Douglas Corrigan 1-24-39." The page with the inscription is
lightly toned from the clipping. (Airplane mechanic (he worked on
assembling the "Spirit of St. Louis"), long-distance flier, and possible
the only man to become famous for going the wrong way - in his case from
N.Y. to Dublin. The book gives interesting pictures of the early days of
aviation. ) $110.00
