From our new printed "Just Catalogued " List #253-

CATALOGUE OF PHOTOGRAPHS IN THE COLLECTION OF MRS. WAYNE RAMSAY.

Privately published: Madison, WI; 1893.

A very interesting privately-printed catalog of commercially-produced
cabinet-card photographs and such, collected by Susan M. Ramsay of Madison,
Wisconsin in the late 19th century. The entries are simply lists of the
photographs' subjects, and the catalog is divided into sections of Views
(categorized by country and city), "Pictures" (reproductions of paintings,
organized by artist), and "Sculpture", organized by city. There is an
Appendix featuring detailed descriptions of sets of photographs
illustrating frescoes in the Chapel of the Arena, Padua (by Giotto), and in
the Upper Church of S. Francesco Assisi. No copies located by OCLC.

Hardcover. 6.5"x10", 105 pages; pebbled brown cloth. Light rubbing at the
edges, but a very nice copy. Inscribed "Compliments of Mrs. Wayne Ramsey",
and with several additions to the printed entries in Mrs. Ramsey's
hand. [07346] $250.00
