Octavo, original red cloth, lettered in gilt on spine, top edge gilt, 
others uncut and untrimmed. Spine browned, covers a trifle marked, 
else fine . First edition. One of 925 copies.	$125.00

HARVEY, William and KEYNES, Geoffrey, Editor.  The Anatomical 
Exercises of Dr. William Harvey. De Motu Cordis 1628: De Circulatione 
Sanguinis 1649. London: The Nonesuch Press, (1928). With one plate. 
Octavo, full red niger morocco ruled in gilt, lettered in gilt on 
spine, inner dentelles, top edge gilt, others uncut. Spine a little 
faded, offsetting from dentelles, else a fine copy. Printed by Joh. 
Enschede en Zonen in the types of Fleischman and Chr. Van Dyck on 
Dutch hand-made paper. One of 1,450 copies.  This edition marked the 
tercentenary celebration of the first publication of the text of the 
famous De Motu Cordis, which appeared first in Latin. It was 
translated in 1653, and the original English version, which is used 
here, has not been reprinted since 1673. All of the Latin editions 
contained an engraved plate showing the valves in the vein of the 
forearm; this was omitted from the English editions. It is here 
re-engraved from a drawing by Stephen Gooden, and printed from the

folio, tan paperclad boards, decorated in blind, yapp edges. Slightly 
rubbed at spine ends, a few small smudges on covers, else fine. One
