Disbound quarto volume consisting of tinted plates.  No 
title.  Accession number on margin of first plate.  First 2 plates 
with marginal chipping.  58 plates, the penultimate being a map of 
Edward III's march through France to Calais.  Attractive 
mediaeval-style illustrations of beheading, jousts, battles, 
coronations, Wat Tyler, Sieges, &c, &c.  Some spots, &c, but for the 
most part clean.  Vertical plates are approx. 7 X 7 1/2 inches; 
horizontal plates are approx. 6 X 7 inches.  Captions in 
English.  ("Faithfully copied from a M.S. of
the 15th Century in the Bibliotheque Nationale."  OCLC locates 3 
copies in the U.S. and  2 elsewhere.) $150.00
