Sala. 8vo [27 cm]. Paper wrappers with 24 portfolios of text and 
drawings.  Limited edition. Signed by the author and illustrator on 
the limitation page. Number 96 of 276 copies of which this is one of 
50 on Rives paper with an extra suite of the 30 illustrations on 
Johannot.

Colette (1873-1954) "was the outstanding French woman writer of 
modern times." Emile Grau-Sala (1911-1975) Spanish painter, decorator 
and  watercolorist, illustrated many books: ''He uses clear tones 
which harmonize in perfectly ordered cadences,'' Paul Sentenac.

Uncommon. OCLC lists only the Univ. Texas Ransom library copy, but 
copies also at Biblioteca Nacional de Espana. Bibliotheque Nationale 
de France, and two other libraries.

Very good or better, a few tiny years to the head of the spine and 
some minor stains to the rear wrapper. A bright, handsome copy.
