1.  [RACKHAM, ARTHUR] GREENE, HON MRS.  GREY HOUSE ON THE HILL 
(SIGNED BY RACKHAM, THE. London: Thomas Nelson and Sons, (1903). 
Illustrated by Arthur Rackham with eight color plates. First edition. 
Variant binding of red cloth with grey embossed designs and lettering 
to front board and spine. Housed in a custom-made tri-fold pull-case 
within a half morocco slipcase with gilt lettering, designs and 
marbled boards, probably by Sangorski & Sutcliffe. Signed by Arthur 
Rackham at title page, with the date "1903". 8vo. [205 pgs] Very 
good/none/Near fine. From the collection of Frank Crowninshield, art 
editor of Century Magazine and personal friend to Arthur Rackham. He 
commissioned half-morocco slipcases, of different colors and styles 
to be custom-made for each of his Rackham books. Interior hinge 
starting at half-title page. Rear board stained. Some light foxing to 
a few pages. Scarce early signature of Rackham and very hard to find 
on a non-limited edition. This, of course, was never published in a

2.  [RACKHAM, ARTHUR] HAWTHORNE, NATHANIEL.  WONDER BOOK, A. London: 
Hodder and Stoughton, (1922). Illustrated by Arthur Rackham with 
twenty-four full-page color plates sixteen of which are mounted, 
twenty black & white drawings with pictorial end-papers. First trade 
edition. Red cloth with gilt embossed design and titling to the 
spine. Small 4to. [207 pgs] Very good. Printed by T. and A. Constable 
in Great Britain. "Doran" is printed at the bottom of the spine in 
gilt letters, otherwise identical to the the English edition 
including the publisher's name (Hodder and Stoughton) on the title 
page. Owner's name to end paper. Mild soiling to boards. Gilt 
lettering on spine is somewhat faded. Small spot near hinge on first 
illustrated page. Otherwise all leaves are clean and free from

Dent & Co, 1899. Illustrated by Arthur Rackham on chapter headings, 
tail-pieces and end-papers. Many full-page illustrations by various 
artists. First edition. Blue cloth with gilt pictorial stamping and 
gilt lettering at boards and spine, teg. Housed in a custom-made 
tri-fold pull-case within a half morocco slipcase with gilt 
lettering, designs and marbled boards, probably by Sangorski & 
Sutcliffe. 8vo. [304 pgs] Near fine/none/Near fine. From the 
collection of Frank Crowninshield, art editor of Century Magazine and 
personal friend to Arthur Rackham. He commissioned half-morocco 
slipcases, of different colors and styles to be custom-made for each 
of his Rackham books. Variant binding in blue cloth with pictorial 
end-papers.  Previous owner's name and address at ffep.  Leather on

4.  [RACKHAM, ARTHUR] HOPE, ANTHONY.  DOLLY DIALOGUES, THE. London: 
Westminster Gazette, 1894. Illustrated by Arthur Rackham with four 
black and white illustrations in half-tone, pictorial wrapper 
illustrating "Dolly". First issue of first edition. Red pictorial 
wrapper with black design and lettering.  Housed in a custom-made 
tri-fold pull-case within a half morocco slipcase with gilt 
lettering, designs and marbled boards, probably by Sangorski & 
Sutcliffe. 12mo. [111 pgs] Near fine/none/Near fine. From the 
collection of Frank Crowninshield, art editor of Century Magazine and 
personal friend to Arthur Rackham. He commissioned half-morocco 
slipcases, of different colors and styles to be custom-made for each 
of his Rackham books. Previous owner's name at front cover.  Front 
panel of wrapper has 2 tears at outer edge.  Minor wear at 
extremities of slip-case. Very scarce true first edition, precedes 
the cloth edition with the word "Dolly" as running headline (later 
issues have the full title) published July 1894. This is the second 
book illustrated by Rackham. A lovely copy of a fragile book.

Rackham with one color frontispiece and eleven full page black and 
white illustrations. First edition. Blue cloth with blind embossed 
design at front board and gilt lettering at the spine, teg. Housed in 
a custom-made tri-fold pull-case within a half morocco slipcase with 
gilt lettering, designs and marbled boards, probably by Sangorski and 
Sutcliffe. 16mo. [562 pgs] Near fine/none/Near fine. This true first 
editions was one published as one of the Temple Classics. It precedes 
the limited edition by ten years. From the collection of Frank 
Crowninshield, art editor of Century Magazine and personal friend to 
Arthur Rackham. He commissioned half-morocco slipcases, of different 
colors and styles to be custom-made for each of his Rackham books. 
Previous owner's name written at stamped bookplate on paste-down.
