protective cover, with ties.  Cover and wrappers have light wear; 
some pages loose, but complete.  Profusely illustrated throughout 
showing the objects in this notable oriental collection of 
sculptures, lacquer ware, porcelain, china, bronzes, armor 
accessories, netsuke, pipes, fans, cloth, paintings, &c. (While best 
known as a dealer and collector of oriental antiquities, Bing was 
active in other fields; he wrote a report on "La Culture Artistique 
en America" for the French government, opened the first salon of 
international art nouveau, and had close connections with Wm. Morris, 
Whistler and Louis Comfort Tiffany.)   $450.00
